Q. Why should I hire  Sweet Southern Glam Professional Services?

a. How a bride looks and feel on her special day will be one of the most important factor of the wedding! Sweet Southern Glam Bridal artists have years in experience to create the perfect bridal look for all brides. Whether it is a soft romantic bride or sultry glam, let us take the stress away from the bride. Getting professional beauty services also allows the bride to relax for a couple of hours to ensure she look breathtaking before she walks down the aisle!

Q. What should I bring to the consultation?

a. Please bring pictures of makeup and hairstyles to give artists a better idea of your ideal bridal look.  This may necessary not be the “final” look that you envision, but providing a visual for us will help us understand your style and what colors and texture intensity you are comfortable with. Visuals can be printed or saved to your phone to share with us at the time of trial.

a. Your favorite waterproof mascara, skincare, foundation or products that you prefer wearing and know that you do not have allergies to.

Q. What should I wear to the consultation?

a. We recommend wearing a white or cream colored top (example; white tank-top or strapless top) or a color that is close to the color of your gown. Doing so will give you an overall visual feel for the hair and make-up when looking at it on a full scale against the color of your gown. We also highly recommend bringing any accessories you may wish to try such as jewelry, tiara, veil, and/or any other elements that can add a finishing touch to your hair and make-up look.

Q. How long will the bridal consultation last?

a. For a full makeup & hair consultation please allow anywhere from 1.5 to 2.5hrs. Makeup only and/or Hair only trials may take 1 – 1.5 hours. Each session will vary depending on the intricacy of the style. The session will consist of going over visuals to come to an understanding of style, a hair texture analysis, full hair styling, thorough skin analysis, custom foundation color match, eye shape analysis, full eye shadow applications, full brow analysis and application, contour and highlight, and going over event and service details.

 Q. Will my makeup last all day?

a. Depending on your skin type and how your skin feels on a normal morning to night basis, we determine the best skincare products and use specific prep products to prime the skin so it will keep the skin and makeup looking fresh throughout your event.  For oily skin complexions, we highly recommend our weightless water based airbrush makeup! Airbrush makeup formula and application keeps your makeup looking fresh with none to minimal touch up! We also use a light weight finishing spray with a powerful cocktail of high-tech ingredients that chills makeup so your skin feels fresh, deflect shine and deliver a matte look for up to 16 hours.

Q. What cosmetic line is in the makeup kit?

a. We use a variety of high quality cosmetics that are non comedogenic and hypo allergenic. A few of our iconic products are from professional trade show lines,  Make Up For Ever, Urban Decay, Nars, Eve Pearl, Mac, Dinar HD Airbrush, Kevyn Aucoin, Hourglass, and Inglot to name a few. Our kits are always growing as we expand our product knowledge about latest skincare and makeup innovations to keep up with trends and traditional styles.

Q. I usually don’t wear a lot of makeup, will my makeup look heavy or too done up?

a. Not to worry, we work with all of our brides to create a look that will have you feel beautiful and comfortable in. Keep in mind that usual everyday makeup can get washed out in cameras, trust the artists to keep you glowing for the camera.

 Q. I have skin allergies, rosacea, birth mark, sensitive skin etc., can you work with my skin?

a. If you have any type of skin allergies please let us know ahead of time. We also recommend that you bring in any product that your skin is comfortable with. We have experience with all skin types and are open to learn more about what will make your skin glow. Airbrush makeup is highly recommended for sensitive skin.

 Q. Do artists stay for touch ups after the makeup/hair is done?

a. Artists will stay until all services booked is completed. Please keep in mind artists can have multiple bookings in one day. However if you are interested in getting touch ups we have an touch up available for an additional cost. 

a. On the wedding day makeup and hair for the bride will take 1 hour. Bridesmaid makeup and hair will take 45 minutes. We will create a makeup/hair schedule for our brides and bridal party to make sure everyone is accommodated in a timely manner.

Q. How far will you travel ?

a. We travel where ever our brides need us. We have booked many brides from all over from North & South Carolina, Florida, and Hawaii. Travel and lodging expenses are covered by clients. 

Q. Is there a minimal ?

a. We have a minimal of $300 per artist for weddings located two hours+ away from Charlotte, NC. 

Q. How do I book services for my wedding day?

a. There is a non- refundable $60-75 retainer fee (will go towards your total package) completed online to book for your bridal trial. If you love our work and would like to book us for your wedding day, there is a 50% deposit to confirm and book. If you decide not to book you will only be required to pay for the bridal trial.
